voiced TH sound

The voiced TH sound is found in words such as “the”, “this”, “that”, “mother” and “father”.  The phonetic symbol for this sound is /ð/ ,which is found in some dictionaries.

To produce this sound, put your tongue between your teeth.  It is voiced, which means that you need to vibrate your vocal chords.  You can tell if your vocal chords are vibrating by placing your palm on your throat.
